"Cosmos" by Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves From 24 november to saturday 28 january 2012 November 24, Gallery Lot 10 welcomes the videos that Felicie d’Estienne d’Orves has been producing since the beginning of her career: A hypnotic show on the manifestations of light.

Mixing video, sculpture and projections, Félicie d'Estienne d'Orves has, for several years, been working on the process of vision and the conditioning of the gaze. In collaboration with experimental musicians, her pictorial impressionistic language transports us to a space where the body experiences vibration through the impact of luminous and acoustic oscillations. Among her recent works, of note is Supernova, a work featuring the tridimensional explosion of a star (2011- ARCADI/ MAC production) as well as Gong II, currently being presented as part of La Fabrique Sonore - Expérience Pommery #9. Félicie d'Estienne d'Orves will create Geometry, an exterior monumental sculpture for the London Watermans Art Centre (February – July 2012).

With the works in the Cosmos series, Gallery Lot 10 invites the formidable to slip into the intimacy of an encounter of striking organic effects. We will rediscover the artist’s fascination for astrophysical phenomena, whether it be the concealment of light in Eclipse I and II or the creation of a reddish-brown moon with Ovale. Also presented will be snapshots of her Monolithe performance, presented at the Saint Roch church during Nuit Blanche 2008, with the support of the Pierre Bergé - Yves St Laurent Foundation.
